Awarded to Captain (Nursing Sister) Joesphine Cashin, Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps, and Austin Garett, EPA helicopter pilot, the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire For Gallantry by HRM Queen Elizabeth II for the roles they played in the rescue of the survivors of OK523.

These awards should not deminsh the special efforts put forward by the airport rescue team and the hospital staff for the rescue and care of the suvivors.
